Description
The Team Associated ASC32000 RC10TC8 Steel Chassis is the main chassis plate for the RC10TC8 touring car platform. Every component in the car mounts to it, and its stiffness and weight distribution shape how the chassis loads the tires, how quickly it rotates, and how much traction it generates on corner exit.
A steel chassis places more mass low and centered in the car compared to a lighter plate, which increases the load working on the tires and generally rewards the driver with more grip on lower traction or dusty surfaces. Many racers keep both a steel and a graphite chassis on hand and swap between them as track conditions change through an event.
This plate fits the TC8 Graphite-Spec and TC8 Steel-Spec touring cars. It is a direct replacement for a bent or damaged original chassis on a Steel-Spec car, and a straightforward setup option for Graphite-Spec owners who want the extra weight down low. All factory components and hardware transfer over during the rebuild.
