Description
The Team Associated ASC31962 dust cover is a Lexan polycarbonate shield that fits over the chassis of the RC10 4x4 Rally. It closes off the open area of the chassis so that dirt, dust, gravel, and water thrown up by the tires are kept away from the drivetrain, battery bay, and electronics underneath.
Rally surfaces are far dirtier than a prepared track, and debris that reaches the gearbox, slipper, or motor area causes accelerated wear and can jam moving components. A chassis cover is a simple way to cut down on the amount of cleaning a car needs after a run and to extend the working life of bearings and gears.
The cover is a direct replacement for the part supplied with the kit and installs using the existing mounting points with no modification. It fits the RC10 4x4 Rally. Polycarbonate covers eventually crack around their mounting holes from vibration and impacts, so replacing a split cover keeps the chassis properly sealed. See the kit manual for fitting.
