Description
This is the battery box and servo saver set for the Team Associated Apex2 Sport. The battery box holds and secures the pack in the chassis so it cannot shift under braking or through a corner, and the servo saver sits between the steering servo and the steering linkage.
The set is made for the Apex2 Sport ST550 and is the direct replacement Team Associated supplies for that chassis, so both pieces drop into the stock mounting locations with no modification.
A servo saver is a deliberate weak point in the steering. When a front wheel hits a curb, a pipe, or another car, it gives before the impact reaches the servo gears, which is what keeps a much more expensive servo from being stripped. That means it takes abuse by design and eventually gets worn or cracked. Replacing a tired servo saver restores steering precision and puts the protection back in place.
