Description
The Team Associated ASC31894 set supplies the Hoonitruck drift wheels and tires for the Apex2 and Apex2 Hoonigan. The tires come already mounted on the matching Hoonitruck wheels, so the set bolts onto the car without any assembly work.
Drift tires use a hard compound that deliberately limits grip, letting the car break traction and hold a slide under power instead of hooking up the way rubber tires do. That makes them the right choice for drifting on smooth surfaces such as painted concrete, polished floors, and asphalt, and they also wear far more slowly than grip tires because they slide rather than bite.
This is a direct replacement for the drift wheels and tires supplied with the Hoonitruck version of the Apex2, fitting the standard wheel hexes and using the original wheel nuts with no modification required. Swapping between this set and a rubber tire set changes the character of the car in minutes. Fits the Apex2 and Apex2 Hoonigan.
