Description
The Team Associated ASC31880 Apex2 Center Spool is machined from aluminum and locks the front and rear driveshafts together through the middle of the drivetrain. A spool sends power to both ends of the car at all times, which produces direct forward drive and a very predictable response the moment you get on the throttle.
Running a spool in the center is a common setup choice for high-traction surfaces where a center differential lets power slip away. The aluminum construction stands up to the torque loads that pass through this part of the driveline, and the spool uses the stock mounting locations, gears, and hardware, so it installs without modification. Fitment covers the Apex2, Apex2 Sport, Apex2 Sport A550, Apex2 Sport ST550, Apex2 Sport Nissan Z, and Apex2 Hoonigan.
Fit it as a replacement for a worn center unit, or as a deliberate drivetrain change when track conditions call for more direct power delivery and a stronger, simpler center section.
