Description
The Team Associated ASC31879 Apex 2 Motor Mount holds the motor to the chassis and sets its position relative to the spur gear. Because it controls gear mesh, the mount has a direct effect on drivetrain efficiency, gear wear, and how much drag and noise the transmission produces. A mount that has been knocked out of position or damaged in a crash will chew through spur gears in a hurry.
This is a direct replacement for the factory motor mount and uses the stock chassis mounting locations and hardware, so installation is a straightforward bolt-in with no modification. Fitment covers the Apex2, Apex2 Sport, Apex2 Sport A550, Apex2 Sport ST550, Apex2 Sport Nissan Z, and Apex2 Hoonigan.
A solid, correctly located motor mount lets you set gear mesh precisely and keep it there run after run. Replace a worn mount and you protect the pinion, the spur, and the rest of the drivetrain behind them.
