Description
The Team Associated ASC31866 Apex2 Shock Bodies are the plastic outer housings that contain the shock oil and guide the piston and shaft assembly on your touring car. They thread onto the stock caps and lower collars exactly as the original parts do, and they provide the sealing surface the damper relies on to hold oil under repeated compression.
Shock bodies scar, crack, or distort after a heavy impact, and once the inner wall is no longer smooth the seals cannot do their job. That shows up as leaking dampers and handling that changes lap after lap. These are direct replacements for the factory bodies and assemble with your existing internals, so no modification is required. Fitment covers the Apex2, Apex2 Sport, Apex2 Sport A550, Apex2 Sport ST550, Apex2 Sport Nissan Z, and Apex2 Hoonigan.
Replace damaged bodies during a normal shock rebuild and your car will hold its setup through a full race day. Keep a spare set alongside your rebuild supplies so a crash does not cost you a weekend.
