Description
This set includes the 30 tooth drive gear and the gear differential cross pins for the Team Associated Apex2. The 30T drive gear transmits power through the drivetrain, while the cross pins sit inside the gear differential and carry the internal spider gears that let the wheels turn at different speeds through a corner.
Both parts wear from use rather than from crashes. Gear teeth chip or round off when the mesh is too tight, too loose, or contaminated with grit, and a single damaged tooth quickly ruins whatever it meshes with. Cross pins wear where the spider gears ride on them, and a worn pin lets the diff gears develop play, which makes the differential feel notchy and eventually causes it to fail under power.
Fitment covers the Apex2, Apex2 Sport, Apex2 Sport A550, Apex2 Sport ST550, Apex2 Sport Nissan Z, and Apex2 Hoonigan. These are direct replacements for the factory parts and install during a normal diff or drivetrain rebuild with no modification.
