Description
This set includes the center outdrives and the front and rear differential pumpkins for the Team Associated Apex2. The outdrives take power from the center drivetrain and pass it into the driveshafts, while the diff pumpkins are the housings that carry the front and rear differentials along with their bearings.
Outdrives are a wear point on any shaft driven car. The driveshaft pins ride inside them, and over time the contact faces wear or round out, which introduces slop into the drivetrain and can eventually let a driveshaft pop free under power. Diff pumpkins take impact loads and must stay true, since a cracked housing lets the differential shift out of alignment and destroys the ring and pinion mesh.
Fitment covers the Apex2, Apex2 Sport, Apex2 Sport A550, Apex2 Sport ST550, Apex2 Sport Nissan Z, and Apex2 Hoonigan. These are direct replacements for the factory components and reuse your existing internals and hardware, so no modification is required.
