Description
This center gearbox case and top plate set replaces the housing for the center drivetrain on the Team Associated Apex2. The case supports the bearings and holds the center gears in correct alignment, while the top plates close the assembly and keep the internals located and protected from dirt.
Drivetrain alignment depends entirely on the case. A cracked or distorted housing lets the shafts move under load, and gears that are no longer running true will mesh badly, run hot, and eventually strip. Grit entering through a damaged case accelerates wear on bearings and gear teeth alike, so a small crack you ignore quickly turns into an expensive full drivetrain rebuild.
Fitment covers the Apex2, Apex2 Sport, Apex2 Sport A550, Apex2 Sport ST550, Apex2 Sport Nissan Z, and Apex2 Hoonigan. This is a direct replacement for the factory center gearbox housing and reuses your existing gears, bearings, and hardware, so the drivetrain goes back together without modification.
