Description
This set includes the side rails and tower covers for the Team Associated Apex2. The side rails run along the edges of the chassis to stiffen it and take the brunt of side impacts, while the tower covers shield the shock towers and the hardware mounted to them.
These parts do their job by absorbing damage, which means they wear out on purpose. Side rails get scraped and cracked from wall contact and curb strikes, and a cracked rail no longer supports the chassis the way it should, letting flex creep into the platform and changing how the car takes a set in corners. Damaged tower covers stop protecting the components behind them, leaving the towers and their hardware exposed.
Fitment covers the Apex2, Apex2 Sport, Apex2 Sport A550, Apex2 Sport ST550, Apex2 Sport Nissan Z, and Apex2 Hoonigan. These are direct replacements for the factory parts and mount with your existing hardware, requiring no modification to install.
