Description
These body posts mount the body shell to the chassis on the Team Associated Apex2. The posts pass up through the body mounting holes and hold the shell at the correct height and position, keeping it steady over the chassis instead of shifting or lifting at speed.
Body posts take a hit in almost every crash. Because they stand proud of the chassis, they are the first thing to catch a wall or a curb, and a snapped post leaves the body flapping loose or falling off mid run. That is not just a cosmetic problem, since a shifting body can foul the steering, rub the tires, or drop into the drivetrain and end your run outright.
Fitment covers the Apex2, Apex2 Sport, Apex2 Sport A550, Apex2 Sport ST550, Apex2 Sport Nissan Z, and Apex2 Hoonigan. These are direct replacements for the factory posts and use the existing mounting hardware, so they install with no modification. They are inexpensive enough to keep as a standing spare in the pit box.
