Description
This set includes the wheel hexes and calipers for the Team Associated Apex2. The wheel hex is the drive adapter that sits between the axle and the wheel, transferring power from the drivetrain into the tire and setting how the wheel sits on the axle. The calipers are the scale brake detail parts that mount behind the wheels.
Wheel hexes are a wear item on every car. The drive faces round off over time, especially if a wheel nut has been run loose, and a worn hex lets the wheel move on the axle. That play shows up as a wobble at speed, uneven tire wear, and eventually a stripped axle that costs far more to replace than the hex would have.
Fitment covers the Apex2, Apex2 Sport, Apex2 Sport A550, Apex2 Sport ST550, Apex2 Sport Nissan Z, and Apex2 Hoonigan. These are direct replacements for the factory components and install using your existing pins, nuts, and hardware, so no modification is needed.
