Description
The Team Associated ASC31791 TC7.2 Spur Gear Shaft is the machined aluminum layshaft that carries the spur gear and drive pulleys in the center of the TC7.2 drivetrain. It rides in the chassis bearings and transmits every bit of motor power out to the front and rear belts, making it one of the hardest working parts in the car.
A straight, true shaft is essential to a smooth driveline. Any bend or wear at the bearing journals shows up immediately as a rough spinning drivetrain, uneven belt tension, and lost efficiency that costs both punch and runtime. Swapping in a fresh shaft restores the free rolling feel of a newly built chassis.
This part is a direct replacement for the spur gear shaft originally fitted to the Team Associated TC7.2 touring car. It uses the stock bearings, pulleys, and retaining hardware, so installation is a straightforward rebuild with no modification required. It is inexpensive insurance to keep on the shelf alongside your spare belts and pulleys.
