Description
The top plate ties the front and rear bulkheads together across the top of the chassis, controlling how much the car twists under load. Along with the chassis itself, it is one of the main levers you have over overall platform flex, which is why touring car drivers pay close attention to its condition and thickness.
This 2.0 mm top plate is a direct replacement for the Team Associated TC7.2. It bolts to the standard bulkhead and brace mounting points using the original hardware, and it clears the belt and drivetrain layout exactly as the kit part does, so installation requires no modification.
Carbon fiber construction delivers high stiffness at very low weight, which keeps the car's center of gravity low while holding the drivetrain in precise alignment. If your existing top plate has been cracked or delaminated in a crash, replacing it restores the chassis stiffness your setup was built around and brings back the consistent, planted feel the TC7.2 is known for.
