Description
Shock spring cups sit at the bottom of the shock spring and locate it against the shock shaft assembly, keeping the spring centered and square as the suspension cycles. A worn or damaged cup lets the spring shift or bind, which causes inconsistent damping and can make one corner of the car behave differently from the other three.
This set replaces the spring cups used on the Team Associated TC7.1 and TC7.2 touring car shocks. They fit the standard shock shaft and eyelet assembly and work with the stock springs and collars, so you can rebuild your shocks with no change to ride height, droop, or spring preload settings.
Stainless steel construction holds its shape and finish far better than a worn plastic part, giving the spring a clean, consistent seat every time you cycle the suspension. Shock rebuilds are routine maintenance on any competitive touring car, and fresh spring cups make sure the effort you put into matching oil and springs actually shows up in the way the car handles.
