Description
This carbon fiber chassis is the main structural plate for the Team Associated TC7 and TC7.1 touring cars, the component every other assembly on the car mounts to. It carries the bulkheads, shock towers, steering, motor mount, servo, battery, and electronics, and its stiffness characteristics set the baseline for how the whole car responds.
Carbon fiber is the material of choice at this level because it delivers high stiffness at very low weight, keeping mass out of the chassis where it does the least good and allowing ballast to be placed deliberately instead. The flex characteristics of the plate feed directly into steering response and rear traction.
A chassis plate takes constant abuse from tweaks, hard landings, and contact, and it will eventually crack or develop a set. Since a bent or damaged chassis makes every other setup adjustment unreliable, replacing it is the fix. This is a direct replacement for the original TC7 plate, so your existing hardware and assemblies transfer straight across during the rebuild.
