Description
This LiPo brace set secures the battery pack in Team Associated touring cars, fitting the TC6.2, TC7, and TC7.1 chassis. The braces clamp down over a LiPo pack to hold it firmly against the chassis and prevent it from shifting under braking, acceleration, and cornering loads.
Battery position has a direct effect on how a touring car handles. A pack that moves even slightly changes the weight distribution mid-corner and makes the car feel inconsistent from lap to lap. Holding it solidly also protects the pack itself and the leads running from it, which matters given what a good LiPo costs and what happens when one is damaged in a crash.
Braces take repeated stress from being tightened and released every time the pack comes out, so they wear and eventually crack. This set is a direct replacement for the original hardware on those chassis, installing in the factory mounting positions without modification and restoring secure, repeatable battery mounting.
