Description
These aluminum shock bodies are replacement and upgrade parts for the Team Associated Apex2 Rally Conversion. The shock body is the cylinder that holds the oil and guides the piston, so its finish and straightness directly control how consistently the damping feels from stroke to stroke and lap to lap.
Aluminum construction gives the body better resistance to dents and distortion than a plastic case, and helps shed the heat that shock oil builds up during a long run. A scratched or scored bore lets oil slip past the piston and past the seals, which shows up as fading damping, weeping shocks, and a chassis that no longer responds to the setup changes you make at the bench.
Rebuild both shocks on an axle as a pair so the damping stays matched side to side. These bodies fit the Apex2 Rally Conversion directly and work with the existing shafts, pistons, seals, and collars, so a rebuild needs no modification to the rest of the shock assembly.
