Description
The Team Associated ASC31370 TC6.1 Axle Crush Tubes are the spacers that sit inside the wheel hub assembly and set the clamping distance across the bearings. When the axle nut is tightened, the crush tube carries the load instead of the bearings themselves, which means the bearings stay properly preloaded rather than being squeezed into binding. That is what keeps a wheel spinning freely under a fully torqued nut.
These tubes fit the Team Associated TC6.2, TC7, TC7.1 and TC7.2 touring cars and install into the front and rear axle assemblies on those chassis. They are a direct replacement for the crush tubes supplied with the car, matching the original length so bearing preload and hub spacing stay exactly as designed and no shimming is required.
Crush tubes can deform after repeated overtightening or a hard impact, and a collapsed tube quietly kills bearing life while adding rolling drag you will feel down the straight. Replacing them during a hub rebuild is inexpensive and keeps the drivetrain free and efficient.
