Description
The Team Associated ASC31281 8mm Short Neck Ballstuds are the pivot points that camber links, steering links and sway bar links attach to. Each stud threads into the chassis, an arm, a tower or a steering block, and the ball at its end gives the rod end a joint that swivels freely as the suspension moves. Neck length positions the ball relative to the mounting face, which is a real setup variable on a touring car.
These are 8mm ballstuds in a short neck configuration, and they fit a broad list of Team Associated on-road cars: the TC5, TC5F, TC5R, TC6, TC6.2, TC7, TC7.1 and TC7.2, plus the RC10F6 and RC12R6. They are a direct replacement for the studs supplied in those kits, so threads and ball diameter match the original hardware and your rod ends snap on with the correct tension.
Ballstuds wear a flat where the rod end rides and get scarred by impacts, making them a common hidden source of slop. Fitting fresh ones tightens up the linkage and restores the crisp response a well set up car should have.
