Description
The Team Associated ASC31237 CVA Pin Retaining Clips secure the cross pins in constant velocity axle assemblies. Each clip wraps around the driveshaft bone and traps the pin in place so it cannot walk out under the shock loading of hard acceleration and braking. It is a small part with a large job, because a pin that escapes leaves you with a driveshaft that has come apart mid run.
These clips fit a wide range of Team Associated touring cars, including the TC5, TC5F, TC5R, TC6, TC6.2, TC7, TC7.1 and TC7.2, and they install into the CVA and CVD assemblies at both ends of those chassis. They are a direct replacement for the clips supplied with the car, so they seat properly in the original groove without stretching or modification.
Retaining clips fatigue and lose tension over time, and they are easily lost during a driveshaft rebuild. Keeping fresh clips in the pit box is inexpensive insurance against a failure that can take out an entire driveline.
