Description
The Apex2 Hoonicorn Kit is a 1/10 scale on-road platform developed with Hoonigan and modeled on the 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn RTR V2. It ships unassembled, so you build the drivetrain, suspension, and chassis yourself and end up knowing the car well enough to maintain and tune it properly.
This version updates the previous Hoonicorn with the latest features in on-road racing and a more durable 2.5 mm thickness chassis. Front and rear independent suspension with oil-filled, aluminum threaded shocks and active rear toe keep it composed on uneven surfaces. It shares technology with the RC10B74 series, including the metal pinion and ring gear, HD diff outdrive, and differential gears, and the included FT anti-roll bar set can be adjusted using RC10B74 series components.
As a builder's kit, this requires full assembly plus additional equipment to finish, including a motor, ESC, battery, charger, radio system, and servo. Set aside bench time and standard hex tools; the payoff is a car you can tune with real confidence.
