Description
This 4-cell battery holder is the replacement power tray for the Team Associated TR202A transmitter, and it includes a red 2-pin JST type connector already fitted. The holder seats four AA cells and feeds them into the radio through the plug, so you can run inexpensive alkaline or rechargeable cells rather than relying on a dedicated pack.
Battery holders take a surprising amount of abuse. The contact springs lose tension over time, the terminals corrode, and the thin lead wires can break where they exit the shell. Any of those faults show up as intermittent power, glitching, or a transmitter that simply will not switch on, which is the last thing you want mid-run.
This is a direct replacement for the original holder, wired and terminated so it plugs straight in without soldering or splicing. Swapping in a fresh unit restores solid, reliable contact across all four cells. It is worth having a spare on hand as a cheap insurance policy against a dead radio at the track.
