Description
The Team Associated ASC29031 set contains the engine head and head button for the 15S nitro engine. The head button forms the combustion chamber above the piston and sets the squish band and compression, while the finned head clamps it in place and carries heat away from the top of the engine into the airstream.
Head buttons are subject to heat and detonation damage over time, and a scored or eroded chamber surface costs compression and consistency. Damaged cooling fins on the head reduce the ability of the engine to shed heat, which pushes running temperatures up and shortens the life of the piston and sleeve. Replacing both parts together restores the original combustion geometry and cooling capacity.
The set is a direct replacement for the factory components and fits the RC10GT and the 15S engine with rotary carburetor and side exhaust, part number 29029. Head shims control compression and are not included, so retain your existing shims and refer to the engine manual for correct shim thickness and head bolt torque.
