Description
The Team Associated ASC29000 glow plug is a No.4 hot range plug for nitro engines. The element of a glow plug is heated by a glow igniter to start the engine and then stays hot from combustion, igniting the fuel charge on each cycle. Heat range determines how much of that heat the element retains, which directly affects idle quality, throttle response, and how the engine handles tuning changes.
A No.4 hot plug suits cooler running conditions and lower nitro content fuels, where a colder plug can lead to a rough idle or difficulty holding a tune. Selecting the right heat range is one of the simplest and most effective tuning adjustments available on a nitro engine.
This plug is a direct replacement that threads into the standard glow plug port in the engine head. It is listed as fitting the RC10GT and the 15S engine with rotary carburetor and side exhaust, part number 29029. Glow plugs are consumable items that fail with use, so keeping spares on hand is standard practice for nitro running.
