Description
These clutch nut clips secure the clutch nut on the engine crankshaft of the Team Associated RC10GT. The clip provides mechanical retention beyond thread friction alone, which matters on a nitro engine where constant vibration and repeated heat cycling work steadily at any fastener spinning at engine speed.
If a clutch nut backs off during a run, the clutch assembly loses its clamping load and the shoes, bell, and flywheel can shift on the crank. That leads at best to erratic engagement and a car that will not launch cleanly, and at worst to damaged clutch components or a bent crankshaft. The clip is inexpensive insurance against a failure that gets expensive fast.
Clips lose their spring tension after being removed and reinstalled several times, so replacing them during a clutch service is standard practice rather than reusing tired ones. These are direct replacements for the clips originally fitted to the RC10GT, installing onto your existing clutch nut with no modification and no other parts required.
