Description
The Team Associated ASC25944 front shock bodies replace the outer cylinders of the front shocks on the Rival MT8, holding the oil and guiding the piston and shaft through the full range of suspension travel. The inner surface of a shock body has to stay smooth and true, since scoring or a dent makes the piston bind and destroys the seal it rides against.
On a truck the size of the MT8 the front shocks take the brunt of every landing and every impact with an obstacle. Once a body is damaged, oil escapes, damping goes away, and the front end starts diving and packing instead of soaking up hits.
These bodies are a direct replacement for the front shock housings originally fitted to the Rival MT8 and accept the stock caps, pistons, shafts, and springs, so you can reuse your existing internals during the rebuild. Fitment is specific to the Rival MT8 platform. Replace both front bodies together to keep damping even.
