Description
The Team Associated ASC25943 rear shock bodies replace the outer cylinders of the rear shocks on the Rival MT8, the housings that hold the oil and guide the piston and shaft through their stroke. A shock body has to stay perfectly straight and smooth on the inside, because any scoring or distortion causes the piston to bind and the seals to leak.
Damaged bodies are common on a truck this size. A hard landing or a rock strike can dent or crack a body, and once oil starts weeping past a compromised seal surface the damping fades and the rear of the truck begins bottoming out and landing badly.
These bodies are a direct replacement for the rear shock housings originally fitted to the Rival MT8, accepting the stock caps, pistons, shafts, and springs so the rebuild uses your existing internals. Fitment is specific to the Rival MT8 platform. Replacing both rear bodies together keeps damping matched side to side.
