Description
This hat bushing set fits the shock caps on the Team Associated Rival MT8 and SR7 Hoonicorn monster trucks, providing the small bushings that support the shock shaft where it passes through the shock cap, or hat, at the top of each shock. Made from a low-friction composite material, these bushings keep the shaft centered and moving smoothly while helping seal oil inside the shock body as the shaft strokes through its full travel. Constant cycling under the heavy loads these large trucks generate wears the bushing bore over time, letting the shaft develop play or allowing oil to seep past the cap, both of which soften damping feel and make the truck less predictable on landings. Installing fresh bushings restores a snug, low-friction fit around the shaft and helps the shock hold oil properly again. This is a direct-replacement factory part sized to the stock Rival MT8 shock cap and shaft diameter, not a performance upgrade, and it installs into the existing shock caps already on the truck using the factory hardware.
