Description
This ring gear set fits the front and rear differentials on the Team Associated Rival MT8 and SR7 Hoonicorn monster trucks, supplying the large gear that meshes with the pinion to transfer power through each differential. Molded from a durable composite compound, the ring gear is engineered to handle the high torque loads these large-scale trucks put through their drivetrain during hard acceleration and landings. Ring gears take continuous stress every time power is applied, and over time the teeth can wear, chip, or strip under heavy use, leading to slop in the drivetrain, grinding noise, or a complete loss of drive to that differential. Installing a fresh ring gear restores proper mesh with the pinion, eliminating backlash and returning smooth, quiet power delivery. This is a direct-replacement factory part sized to the stock Rival MT8 differential housing and pinion gear, not a performance upgrade, so it installs using the existing case and internal hardware. Keeping a spare set on hand helps drivers get a worn or damaged differential back in service quickly on either platform.
