Description
The Team Associated ASC25904 spur gear is the 48-tooth, Mod 1 replacement spur for the RIVAL MT8 monster truck. The spur gear meshes with the motor pinion and is the first stage of the drivetrain, taking motor output and passing it into the center gearbox and on to the differentials, so it sets the truck's overall gear ratio together with the pinion you run.
Spur gears are a wear item on any high-power monster truck. Teeth round off over time, and a stripped or chipped spur causes skipping under throttle, a rattling drivetrain and eventually a complete loss of drive. A worn spur also damages the pinion it runs against, so replacing it early protects the rest of the gear train.
This is the factory 48T Mod 1 gear for the platform, so it drops onto the stock slipper or gear mount with no shimming or modification and preserves the original gear ratio. Fits the RIVAL MT8. Genuine Team Associated replacement part.
