Description
This skid plate set is the replacement underbody protection for the Team Associated Rival MT8 monster truck. Skid plates mount beneath the chassis at the front and rear bulkhead areas, taking the impact when the truck lands hard, drags over curbs, or slides across rocks and roots. They absorb the abuse so the chassis, suspension mounts, and drivetrain housings underneath stay intact.
On a big-bore monster truck that spends its life jumping and bashing, these are the parts that wear fastest. Once a skid plate is gouged, cracked, or worn thin, it stops shielding what is behind it, and repair bills climb quickly from there.
This set is a direct replacement for the factory skid plates on the Rival MT8, bolting into the original mounting locations with no trimming or modification needed. Fitting fresh plates restores full protection and lets the truck slide cleanly over obstacles instead of catching on them. Keeping a spare set in the pit box means a hard landing does not cut the session short.
