Description
The motor mount holds the motor in position relative to the pinion and spur gear on the Team Associated Rival MT10 Classic and Rival MT10 Factory Team. It sets the gear mesh and keeps the motor square to the drivetrain, so its rigidity directly affects how efficiently power reaches the wheels.
A mount that has been bent or damaged in a crash lets the motor shift under load. That changes the gear mesh while driving, which produces drivetrain noise, strips spur gear teeth, and wastes power that should be pushing the truck forward. Loose motor mounting also builds heat in the motor and speed control.
Installing a fresh mount set locks the motor down solidly and lets you set gear mesh accurately and have it stay put. This is a direct replacement for the stock Rival MT10 mount and uses the existing motor screws and chassis hardware. It is a worthwhile part to replace during a drivetrain rebuild or after any impact that has knocked the motor out of alignment.
