Description
Skid plates take the abuse that would otherwise land directly on your chassis. This factory replacement set for the Team Associated Rival MT10 Classic mounts under the front and rear of the truck, shielding the gearbox areas and chassis edges from rocks, curbs, roots, and hard landings.
Skid plates are consumable by design. They are meant to wear down and absorb impacts so more expensive parts underneath survive, which means they eventually grind thin and need replacing. Running a worn skid plate lets debris reach the chassis and gearbox housings, turning a low-cost part into an expensive repair.
These are direct replacements for the stock Rival MT10 Classic skid plates and bolt on with the existing hardware, so installation takes only a few minutes with a hex driver. Fitting fresh plates also restores the smooth underside that lets the truck slide over obstacles instead of catching on them. Keep a set in the pit box and swap them out at the first sign of heavy wear.
