Description
The Team Associated ASC21912 set supplies machined 10mm aluminum shock bodies for the Reflex 14 Classic. The shock body is the cylinder the piston travels through, and its internal finish and dimensional consistency are what determine how smoothly the damper moves and how well the seals hold oil over a long run.
Aluminum bodies are an upgrade over standard shock bodies because the alloy holds its bore true under heat and impact, resisting the scoring and distortion that eventually cause a shock to bind or leak. Consistent bores across all four corners also mean the same oil and piston combination behaves the same way at every corner of the car, which is the foundation of a repeatable setup.
These bodies fit the Reflex14B Classic and accept the stock shafts, pistons, seals, and shock caps, so a rebuild is a straightforward swap with no modification required. Building a fresh set of dampers around new bodies is the single most effective way to restore predictable suspension performance.
