Description
The Team Associated ASC21830 SR27 Steering Servo is the replacement steering servo for the SR27 platform, converting signals from the receiver into the movement that turns the front wheels. The servo is directly exposed to steering loads and to impacts transmitted back through the linkage, which makes stripped gears and worn output shafts common after a hard crash.
This servo is specified for the SR27 chassis, so its case size, mounting position, and output match the steering assembly on that platform and it installs without modification. Fitting the correct servo keeps the steering throw and geometry as the car was designed, which a substituted unit of a different size cannot reliably reproduce.
Offered as a direct replacement for the servo originally fitted to the SR27, it connects to the existing receiver and steering linkage using the standard hardware. Since a failed servo leaves the car with no steering control at all, a spare is a sensible item to keep in the pit box for anyone running this platform.
