Description
The Team Associated ASC21828 SR27 Motor is the replacement drive motor for the SR27 platform, supplying the power that reaches the wheels through the drivetrain of the car. Motors are consumable items in radio control cars, gradually losing performance as they accumulate run time and eventually failing outright after heavy use, water exposure, or a locked drivetrain.
This motor is specified for the SR27 chassis, so its size, mounting pattern, and shaft match the motor plate and pinion used on that platform and it installs without modification to the chassis. Fitting the correct motor keeps the gearing, speed control settings, and drivetrain loads within the range the car was designed around.
Offered as a direct replacement for the motor originally supplied with the SR27, it wires into the existing speed control and mounts using the standard hardware already on the car. A spare motor is worth keeping for anyone running the platform regularly, since a motor failure otherwise ends a day of running with no simple repair available at the track.
