Description
The Team Associated ASC21823 SR27 Tire Set supplies replacement 8.5mm tires in a 20 shore compound for the SR27 platform. Because tires are the only part of the car in contact with the racing surface, their condition determines how much of the chassis setup actually reaches the ground, and a worn set will never deliver the grip a new one does.
The 20 shore rating indicates a softer rubber compound, while the 8.5mm width matches the wheels used on the SR27 chassis, so these tires mount to the standard SR27 wheels without any modification. Selecting a compound to suit the surface is one of the most useful tuning adjustments on this car.
Offered as a direct replacement for the tires fitted to the SR27, this set installs onto the existing wheels using ordinary tire mounting practice. Keeping several sets on hand allows fresh rubber to be saved for racing while worn tires are used for practice running.
