Description
The Team Associated ASC21821 SR27 Tire Set is a replacement set of 8.5mm tires in a 35 shore compound for the SR27 platform. Tires are the only part of the car touching the track surface, so their condition and compound have more influence on grip and handling than almost any other component. This set allows a worn set to be replaced or a different compound to be fitted for changing track conditions.
The 35 shore rating describes a firmer rubber compound, while the 8.5mm width matches the wheels used on the SR27 chassis, so these tires mount on the standard SR27 wheels without modification. Choosing between compounds is one of the main tuning adjustments available on this platform.
Supplied as a direct replacement for the tires fitted to the SR27, this set installs on the existing wheels using normal tire mounting practice. Keeping spare sets in more than one compound lets a driver adapt quickly when track grip changes through the day.
