Description
The Team Associated ASC21811 Datsun 240Z body set is a replacement shell for the SR27, styled after the classic Datsun 240Z. It arrives decorated and trimmed, so it can be fitted straight to the car without the masking, painting and cutting that finishing a bare shell normally involves.
This body set fits the SR27 and mounts to the standard body posts on that chassis, so it serves as a direct replacement for the shell supplied with the kit as well as a way to change the appearance of an existing car.
Bodies are consumable on any small chassis, and repeated rollovers eventually leave a shell scuffed, cracked, or torn around the mounting holes. Fitting a fresh shell restores both the car's appearance and the aerodynamic shape it was designed around, and it is one of the quickest ways to make a well-used car look new again. Check that the mounting holes line up with your body posts before the first run, and reinforce the holes with tape or grommets to extend the shell's life.
