Description
The Team Associated ASC21808 gear differential set is the rear gear differential for the SR27. A gear diff uses internal gears running in silicone fluid to split power between the rear wheels, allowing the outside wheel to turn faster than the inside one through a corner. Changing the fluid weight inside the diff is one of the most effective handling adjustments available, altering how the car puts power down and how freely it rotates.
This set fits the SR27 and installs in the standard rear pod using the kit hardware and axle components, making it a direct replacement for the differential supplied in the kit.
Differentials are consumable: seals harden, fluid works its way out, and the internal gears eventually wear, all of which show up as inconsistent corner exit and a car that behaves differently at the end of a run than it did at the start. Rebuilding or replacing the diff restores predictable drive. Fill and seal it carefully following the SR27 manual.
