Description
The Team Associated ASC21800 chassis set supplies the main chassis for the SR27. The chassis is the foundation the entire car is built on: it carries the front suspension, the T-bar and motor pod at the rear, the electronics and the body mounts, and its stiffness and flatness set the baseline for how the car handles.
This set fits the SR27 and accepts the standard SR27 suspension, drivetrain and electronics without modification, making it a direct replacement for the chassis supplied in the kit.
A chassis is worth replacing once it has been tweaked in a crash, worn thin from contact with the track surface, or cracked around a screw hole, since any of those change how the car sits and how evenly it responds from side to side. Building on a fresh, flat chassis is the quickest way to bring a car that has stopped feeling consistent back to its original handling. Transfer your components across following the SR27 manual, and check screw lengths as you go.
