Description
The Team Associated ASC21697 3.5mm Ballstuds provide the spherical mounting points that rod ends snap onto throughout the suspension and steering. Each ballstud threads into a bulkhead, arm, tower or steering block and gives the link a pivot that rotates freely as the suspension cycles. The size of the ball and the length of its neck directly affect how much articulation a link has before it binds.
These are 3.5mm ballstuds with an M2x4mm threaded shank, listed for the Team Associated TC28. They are a direct replacement for the ballstuds supplied with the car, matching both the ball diameter your rod ends are moulded around and the thread that goes into the chassis, so installation needs no reaming, tapping or shimming.
The package includes 5 pieces. Ballstuds wear a groove where the rod end rides and pick up damage from impacts, which introduces slop into an otherwise tight linkage. Replacing worn studs alongside tired rod ends restores precise, repeatable geometry and removes the vague steering feel that creeps in over a season.
