Description
This is the Team Associated ASC21668 M2 Set Screw Hardware Set, containing 20 M2 set screws. Set screws are headless fasteners that thread fully into a part and clamp against a shaft or pin to lock it in position. On a racing chassis they secure items such as pinion gears to the motor shaft, wheel hexes to axles, and various collars and adjusters that must hold their position under vibration and load.
This hardware set is designed for the RC28 Team Kit and fits the RC28 Team platform. The screws match the thread size and length used in the original chassis, making them direct replacements for the set screws supplied with the kit and requiring no modification to install.
Set screws take a great deal of abuse because their small internal drives are easy to strip, and a rounded set screw can leave a pinion gear spinning loose on the motor shaft mid-run. Keeping this 20-piece supply in your pit box means you can replace any suspect fastener immediately and keep the drivetrain locked down and reliable through a full race day.
