This is the Team Associated ASC21659 RC28R Wheel Set, a replacement set of wheels for your 1/28 scale vehicle. The wheels mount to the axles and provide the rigid bead surface that supports and locates the tires, so a straight, true wheel is essential for consistent traction and predictable handling on the track.
This wheel set fits the RC28 Team Kit and the RC28 Team platform. The wheels are made to the original factory specification, so they are a direct replacement for the wheels supplied with the kit and mount to the stock axles and hexes without any modification to your drivetrain or suspension.
Wheels take a beating from curbs, pipes, and other cars, and a cracked or out-of-round wheel will cause vibration and inconsistent grip. Having a spare set on hand lets you keep a second set of tires pre-mounted and ready for different track conditions, so you can swap between compounds between runs instead of remounting rubber at the track.
