Description
The RC28R Gear Differential Set supplies the complete gear differential assembly for the RC28R 1/28 scale pan car. A gear differential uses internal gears running in silicone fluid to split power between the rear wheels while allowing them to turn at different speeds through a corner, with fluid viscosity setting how much the two sides are allowed to differ.
Compared with a ball differential, a gear diff needs less frequent maintenance and delivers more consistent behavior over the length of a run. Diff fluid weight becomes a primary tuning adjustment, changing corner entry stability and how the car puts power down on exit.
This is a complete assembly rather than a rebuild kit, so it can be fitted as a spare diff built to a different fluid weight for quick setup changes at the track. Fits the RC28 Team Kit. Refer to the kit manual for installation into the rear pod and for setting gear mesh after fitting.
