Description
The ASC21572 Reflex 14R Shock Spring Set supplies replacement suspension springs for the Reflex 14R and Reflex 14R Hoonitruck. Springs work with the shocks to carry the weight of the car and control how the chassis moves as the suspension compresses and rebounds.
Springs are a genuine wear item. Repeated compression cycles cause them to sag over time, and once a spring has lost its original rate the ride height drops and the car sits differently than it should. That changes the geometry the suspension was designed around and makes the car feel soft and slow to react, particularly on landings, where a sagged spring lets the chassis bottom out instead of absorbing the hit.
This set is a direct replacement for the factory springs and installs on the existing shocks with no modification, so refreshing them is straightforward bench work. Fitting new springs restores the correct ride height and suspension response the car left the factory with, and having a spare set on the shelf makes it easy to keep the car handling consistently.
