Description
The ASC21571 Reflex 14R Friction Shock Set supplies replacement dampers for the Reflex 14R and Reflex 14R Hoonitruck. Friction shocks control suspension movement through mechanical damping rather than oil, which keeps them simple to service and free from the leaks and rebuilds that oil-filled shocks eventually need.
The shocks are what keep the tires in contact with the ground over bumps and what settle the chassis after a landing. When they are worn, damping falls off and the car starts to feel bouncy and vague, pitching under braking and acceleration instead of staying composed. Bent shafts or cracked bodies from a hard impact cause the same loss of control over the suspension.
This set is a direct replacement for the original shocks, using the factory mounting points on the arms and shock towers so installation requires no modification. Fitting fresh dampers restores the suspension control the car was designed around, and keeping a spare set on hand means impact damage to a shock does not sideline the car.
