Description
The Team Associated ASC21480 TC28 Specialty Shim Set collects the precision spacers used throughout the chassis to control end play and position rotating parts exactly where they belong. Shims sit against bearings, on axles and inside the drivetrain, taking up the small gaps that would otherwise let a component wander under load. Correct shimming is what keeps a drivetrain quiet, free spinning and consistent.
This set is specified for the Team Associated TC28 and covers the shim sizes called out in that chassis during assembly and maintenance. Because the thicknesses match the parts supplied with the car, you can follow the manual directly, and each shim is a direct replacement rather than an approximate substitute from a generic assortment.
Shims are small and easy to lose on the bench, and one missing spacer can leave a differential or axle binding or loose. Having a complete set on hand means a rebuild never stalls partway through, and it lets you fine tune preload and free play as parts wear in over a season of running.
